Dental XRays
There are two types of X-rays.
A small X-ray and a Full mouth X-ray
Indications
- Toothache
- Pain of unknown origin
- Swelling
- Trauma to the tooth or jaw
- Fracture of the tooth
- Deep decay
- In children to assess the growth and development of permanent teeth.
A full mouth X-ray(OPG) is taken for:
- Cysts
- Tumours
- Big swellings disfiguring the jaws
- Unknown generalized pain
- Pre – Orthodontic Treatment
- Fractures of the facial structures
- Wisdom tooth removal
- For assessing the overall condition of the oral conditions
