Dental XRays

There are two types of X-rays.
A small X-ray and a Full mouth X-ray

Indications

  • Toothache
  • Pain of unknown origin
  • Swelling
  • Trauma to the tooth or jaw
  • Fracture of the tooth
  • Deep decay
  • In children to assess the growth and development of permanent teeth.

A full mouth X-ray(OPG) is taken for:

  • Cysts
  • Tumours
  • Big swellings disfiguring the jaws
  • Unknown generalized pain
  • Pre – Orthodontic Treatment
  • Fractures of the facial structures
  • Wisdom tooth removal
  • For assessing the overall condition of the oral conditions
