Procedure
One of most common procedures in Dentistry to treat crooked/ malaligned teeth is Orthodontic treatment. The Orthodontist applies specialized braces and brackets onto the teeth and using light calculated forces, the teeth are pushed into alignment.
It could be done using metal/ ceramic/ lingual / invisible braces.
The time taken to complete the treatment is 18 – 24 months depending on the severity of the condition and patient co-operation.
The patients are called for regular monthly follow-ups where the braces are adjusted according to the course of the treatment.
